When I read the Newsweek's article "The Gap Society" issued on Nov.12 ,2007, then I realize Japan is now suffering its ever-growing poverty problem. The so-called "lifetime" employment with ample benefits in this country has been long gone. I couldn't help but thinking my long-unemployed brother.
